Introduction
Hello and welcome to this website. I created this in my AP Human Geography class. Human geography is the study of how and where human activities have an effect on the Earth's surface and why those activities took place where they did. Human behavior has changed with time by observing and documenting how humans interact with and modify their environment. Information explored in Human geography can help professionals decide whether, for example, deforestation in a certain area will have an effect on another layer of the map of that area. Cartography is the process and technique of creating maps. In the 21st century cartography is used to create multi layered maps using GSI (Geographic Information System) that can be used to find out the relationship between different layers. It is also used to find one's specific location with GPS so they can get directions to go anywhere. In addition pictures taken with satellites or high flying planes can be utilized to create maps that then can be used to, for example, track the vegetation in a certain area. My goal is to acquire more detailed information on how humans affected the Earth's surface and create a finish product I am proud of.
